Keeping Hope Throughout Tragedy
As January comes to an end, the new year has already been full of tragedy and loss. The first major topic of the year was the attack on Iran ordered by President Trump. This brought a lot of attention to everyone and the thought of WW3 arising spread like wildfire. The second tragedy of the year was the fires in Australia. According to , “At least 28 people have died nationwide, and in the state of New South Wales (NSW) alone, more than 3,000 体彩官方apps have been destroyed or damaged.” The fires are still ravaging Australia and containing them has been a true difficulty.
Along with Australia’s fires, another issue arose. A virus known as the “Coronavirus” began in the Chinese city of Wuhan. “It has killed 81 people in China体彩官方app. Infections have been confirmed in many other countries. But of the nearly 3,000 people who have so far contracted the virus, the vast majority live in China体彩官方app” according to the . Finally on January 26th, Kobe Bryant and his daughter were pronounced dead along with three others in a helicopter crash in California. As the new year began, tragedy after tragedy hit, so, I went around the school and asked others how they keep hope throughout all this tragedy.
